Lagos State Ministry of Transportation is the state government ministry, charged with responsibility to plan, devise and implement the state policies of transportation. The ministerial responsibilities are formation of policies to enhance free flow of traffic, To provide efficient transportation system in Lagos, To provide truck terminal parks in Lagos state, To liase with federal ministry of transportation and government agencies for formulating and execution of transport policy.

To provide the State with a safe, dynamic, integrated, affordable, diverse and sustainable transport system which supports optimal use of resources, social infrastructure and quality of life.

To ensure affordable and efficient movement of people and goods through a well articulated transport policy, world class rail, air, sea and road transport infrastructure, efficient traffic management and enforcement of traffic regulations, provision of an integrated multi-modal transport system and adherence to global pollution accepted levels/standards and quality of life.
