Ebony Hospitals Ltd. was conceptualized in 1980 when the founder and Chief Medical Director, Dr. Innocent Chi Ekwem, was still under the employ of the Army and the Federal Ministry of Defence. The vision then was to develop a private sector-driven, ultra modern health care center that would cater for the health needs of all Nigerians at the Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary levels of healthcare provision, reducing the number of Nigerians who would have to travel abroad at exorbitant cost for the management of common disease conditions that can be properly taken care of by our competent Nigerian Specialists. As our social responsibility towards the surrounding community and its people, we have instituted an Undergraduate scholarship scheme, which we hope will help in alleviating the financial problems of a few; our own way of giving back to our community. We have also initiated some limited free Medical Schemes for some elderly and infant clients. A pride to Nigeria.
