Green Gas Ltd is a public private partnership between the Nigerian Gas Company (a subsidiary of NNPC) and NIPCO PLC. Green Gas was established to address some of the energy challenges of Nigeria – petrol and electricity. For Nigeria, the challenges of energy have become the challenge of a generation. Green Gas has therefore been deliberately crafted to take Nigeria to the new frontiers of the energy sector. The Federal Government empowered Green Gas to take off from Benin City, Edo State in 2007. Driven by patriotism and passion, Green Gas will deploy cutting edge technology and managerial excellence to make natural gas the energy of choice in the socio-economic transformation of Nigeria.
