TARA was founded in 1978 by James J Sheehy, Managing Director, stomer's rand M.O Olowu, Director to provider software support and consulting services to mainframe users in Nigeria. Seni Williams and Olabode Emanuel joined TARA in 1984. With the advent of the Personal Computer in the early 1980s, TARA formed strategic alliances with hardware and software vendors.
