Yetkem Institute of Catering and Hotel Management was established following the growth of Yetkem Limited – the household name in fast foods operation in Nigeria and the realization that opportunities really exist for the training of young men and women in Catering, Hotel management and the Hospitality industry in general.  As a springboard for the take off of the Institute, an intensive Practical Cookery Course which would be on a continuous basis has been organized to run for 6 months. This commenced in June 1986. Ever since then, the institute has come to stay where professional courses are run in Catering and Hotel Management, Cookery and Cake making.
