The Institute of Petroleum and Energy Marketers (IPEM) was established under the Federal Government Decree No. 1 of 1990, as a Professional and Examining body to regulate the training and practice of Petroleum and Energy Marketing in Nigeria. The est6ablishment of the Institute arose out of a desire to fill the gap created by the absence of the Indigenous and home grown specialized training Institutions and a dearth of professional body on petroleum and Energy Marketing subjects.
