MHS is a national Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). The MHS offices are housed in the MHS Centre situated in Ilupeju Estate. MHS was incorporated in 1997 and started operations in 1998. MHS authorized share capital is N250, 000,000. The MHS Centre is made up of the corporate headquarters of the company, a model clinic, a medical laboratory, a wholesale and retail pharmacy. A lot of training, data collecting, data processing and research have gone into this venture to date. The Information Technology department is continuously being developed as it has been identified as a very important aspect of Managed Care.
